Business Analyst

The Business Analyst will support the Office of the State Building Surveyor (OSBS) by providing data-driven insights and analysis to inform strategic decisions and regulatory reforms. The primary responsibility of the Business Analyst is to establish business and functional requirements supporting the division fulfil its function.

 What we are looking for 

• Demonstrated experience in data analysis, problem-solving, and reporting 
• Ability to translate complex business needs into clear, actionable requirements and technical specifications
• Experience in preparing complex briefs, letters, emails and reports using clear, concise and grammatically correct language

About the BPC

The Building & Plumbing Commission (BPC) is Victorias new regulator for building and plumbing. It brings together the Victorian Building Authority (VBA), Domestic Building Dispute Resolution Victoria (DBDRV), and the domestic building insurance function of the Victorian Managed Insurance Authority (VMIA) into one organisation.

Key functions related to building and plumbing regulation will come together under one roof, including registration, inspection and compliance, practitioner discipline, dispute resolution, and domestic building insurance. These services will now part of the BPC and will be fully integrated over the next 12 months.
