BARBER / HAIRDRESSER Barber & Hairdresser – 2 x positions available Position: Hairdresser – Barber Employer: INAYAH PTY LTD T/A Barber Industries–Tamworth NSW Address: 35A Tamworth Shopping World, Bridge St, Tamworth, NSW 2340 Salary: $79,000 ($77,000 - $85,000) Superannuation: 12.00% Hours per week: 38 hours Category: Full Time / Permanent Days/Timings: To be discussed including weekends - Saturday and Sunday DUTIES, TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities: The Hairdresser or Barber is responsible for hair services including haircuts, beard trimming, shaves, hair styling, facial treatments, moustache grooming, colouring, scalp treatments, ear and nose hair trimming, selling hair products, salon assistant responsibilities & staff training responsibilities. Haircuts: Cut, trim, colouring and shape hair or hairpieces, based on customers instructions, hair type and facial features, using clippers, scissors, trimmers, razors and using different type of professional colour brands. Provide a variety of styles, including traditional cuts, fades, and modern designs, tailored to each client’s hair type, facial shape, and personal preferences. Beard Trimming: Trimming beards and moustaches as per latest trends and styles. Shape, trim, and maintain beards using expert techniques to enhance facial features and create a well-groomed, balanced appearance. Shaves: Perform classic straight razor shaves for a clean, smooth finish, often incorporating hot towel treatments and soothing aftershave products for a comfortable and luxurious experience. Hair Styling: Design traditional and contemporary hair styles for men and children. Analyse clients’ hair and other physical features to determine and recommend hair treatment or suggest hair styles. Offering a catalogue showcasing various hairstyles to help clients explore and select their preferred styles. Facial Treatments: Offer facials or rejuvenating masks to cleanse, refresh, and improve skin texture. Moustache Grooming: Trim and style moustaches to enhance facial features and maintain a neat, stylish appearance. Colouring: Apply professional hair colouring techniques to cover gray hair, enhance natural tones, or create bold new looks. Scalp Treatments: Provide targeted treatments to improve scalp health, reduce dandruff, and promote hair growth. Ear and Nose Hair Trimming: Use precision tools to remove unwanted ear and nose hair, ensuring a tidy and refined appearance. Hair Products: Recommend and sell high-quality shampoos, conditioners, styling products, and beard care essentials to help clients maintain their look at home. Salon Assistant Responsibilities: Under the supervision of management, assist with daily operations, including answering phone calls, schedule customer appointments and supporting staff as needed. Handle customer transactions at the cash register while ensuring the salon and equipment remain clean and safe. Staff Training Responsibilities: Provide training on hair products to staff members and mentor junior barbers to enhance their skills and advance their careers in hairdressing. Appropriate candidate must have the following skills, study and experience: Education: Certificate III + 2 years on job training or Certificate IV or Diploma Australian Experience: At least 1-3 years of Australian Experience OR Overseas Experience: At least 1-3 years of Overseas Experience Specialist: Barber – Indian Style Work Rights: Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident or Full Work Rights Holder
