About the role
Sonza Veterinary Clinic & Boarding Kennels' is seeking a dedicated and animal-loving Casual Animal Attendant to join our team in Kowen, ACT. As an Animal Attendant, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent care and support to our furry boarding animals. This is a casual position, offering flexibility to suit your lifestyle.
What you'll be doing
Assisting with the daily care and well-being of our boarding animals, ensuring their accommodations are clean, comfortable and secure
Providing attentive supervision and enrichment activities to promote the physical and mental health of our four-legged guests
Helping with feeding, grooming, and exercise routines as needed
Maintaining thorough records and communicating any observations or concerns to the veterinary team
Ensuring the boarding facilities are well-organised and well-stocked
Providing exceptional customer service to clients dropping off or picking up their beloved pets
What we're looking for
A demonstrated passion for animal welfare and a strong commitment to providing the highest standard of care
Previous experience working in an animal care or veterinary setting, or a relevant qualification in animal studies
Excellent communication skills and a friendly, empathetic approach when interacting with both animals and people
Physically fit and able to handle the physical demands of the role, including lifting, walking, and cleaning
Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
A genuine team player who is willing to contribute to the overall success of the business
