We are currently seeking a 1st Year Marine Mechanic Apprentice to start in 2027 who has a can-do attitude and has a genuine interest in mechanics.
Working alongside qualified tradespeople you will work at marina’s mostly in Kirribilli & McMahons Point with some travel required to various sites to develop the skills to work on and around diesel and petrol marine engines, vessels, and drive systems. By the completion of this apprenticeship you will have the skills and knowledge to perform a broad range of mechanical servicing and repair tasks in the marine industry.
Undertaking this 4 year apprenticeship will give you the opportunity to become a qualified Marine Mechanic and you will earn your AUR30520 Certificate III in Marine Mechanical Technology whilst attending Ultimo TAFE.
We are ideally looking for a mechanically minded individual looking for a career in the marine mechanical industry. We’re seeking a team player who has a positive attitude to learn.
Requirements
- Driver’s licence essential (or close to getting provisional licence).
- Live local to Sydney CBD or North Sydney area
- Ability to follow instructions and switched-on
- Strong commitment to safety
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Committed and hard-working
- Previous mechanical experience advantageous
