About the role

We are looking for experienced Casual Medical Receptionists / Administrators to join our team.

This is a varied role, working alongside our long‑term permanent administration team members on a weekly basis and providing additional support during periods of leave.

The role could be a great fit for:

  • The university student studying healthcare who wants to gain valuable experience in a specialist practice
  • An experienced receptionist looking to move from General Practice, Dental or Allied Health into specialist practice

At CDN, no two days are exactly the same. You'll work in a fast-paced but supportive environment, with ongoing training, plenty of variety and opportunities to develop your skills and career.

What you'll be doing
  • Welcoming & greeting children and families with a friendly smile
  • Answering incoming calls and helping families with their enquiries
  • Managing patient appointments, billing, receipting and online claiming
  • Maintaining patient records, scanning, printing and posting documents
  • Responding to enquiries from families and clinicians by phone and email
  • Supporting the wider administration team with day‑to‑day tasks
  • Working collaboratively with your colleagues to ensure families and clinicians receive an exceptional level of service
The person we are looking for

We are looking for someone who is genuinely warm, positive, outgoing and enjoys connecting with people.

You will ideally be someone who:

  • Makes families feel welcome, comfortable and cared for
  • Is confident, friendly and enjoys working as part of a team
  • Is willing to learn, take initiative and pitch in wherever needed
  • Communicates warmly and professionally with families, clinicians and colleagues
  • Is organised, reliable and able to manage competing priorities with attention to detail
  • Has good computer skills and an understanding of Medicare billing, item numbers and private billing

A minimum of 1 years' experience in a healthcare or allied health practice in a reception and/or administration role is essential.

Australian citizenship or appropriate Australian working rights are required for this position.
