About this role\n

Lead, stabilise and strengthen campuses when your leadership is needed most.

\n

At Only About Children, we believe early childhood education is more than a job. It is an opportunity to shape lives, support families, and lead teams who make a lasting difference every day.

\n

With more than 80 campuses across Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, we are proud to deliver a holistic approach to learning, health, safety and wellbeing through The OAC Way. As our network continues to evolve, we are focused on strengthening operational consistency, supporting our campus teams, and ensuring every child, family and educator experiences the highest standard of care and education.

\n

We are now looking for an experienced and adaptable Flex-Site Campus Director to provide hands‑on leadership across our Sydney campuses.

About the Role\n

As a Flex-Site Campus Director, you will step into campuses during key periods of operational need. This may include supporting leadership vacancies, leave coverage, periods of transition, compliance uplift, team stabilisation, or preparation for Assessment and Rating.

\n

You will act as Campus Director and, where required, Nominated Supervisor, providing confident day‑to‑day leadership while partnering closely with Operational Leaders, Quality, Education and People teams. Your focus will be to quickly understand each campus environment, build trust with teams and families, and drive practical improvements that create sustainable outcomes.

\n

This is a permanent full‑time role supporting different campuses across Sydney. Placements may vary from short‑term support through to longer engagements, depending on campus needs. It is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Campus Director who enjoys variety, thrives in complex environments, and wants to make a broader impact across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities\n
    \n
  • Lead assigned campuses as Acting Campus Director and, where required, Nominated Supervisor
  • \n
  • Quickly assess campus priorities across operations, compliance, people, families and education
  • \n
  • Support operational stability during leadership vacancies, leave coverage and periods of change
  • \n
  • Coach, mentor and uplift campus leadership teams and educators
  • \n
  • Strengthen team culture, accountability and communication
  • \n
  • Maintain strong family engagement and confidence during periods of transition
  • \n
  • Partner with Operations, Quality, Education and People teams to achieve consistent outcomes
  • \n
  • Support compliance readiness, including Assessment and Rating preparation where required
  • \n
  • Help transition campuses back to permanent leadership with clarity, structure and continuity
  • \n
About You\n

You are an experienced early childhood leader who can build trust quickly, bring calm to complexity, and create momentum in new environments. You are confident balancing people leadership with operational priorities, and you know how to support teams while maintaining high expectations.

\n

You will bring:

\n
    \n
  • An approved Early Childhood Teaching qualification or Diploma qualification
  • \n
  • Strong experience in early childhood leadership, ideally as a Campus Director, Centre Director or equivalent
  • \n
  • Sound knowledge of the National Quality Framework, National Regulations and compliance requirements
  • \n
  • Experience leading through change, transition or operational improvement
  • \n
  • Strong coaching, communication and stakeholder management skills
  • \n
  • A calm, organised and solutions‑focused approach
  • \n
  • The flexibility to work across multiple campus locations in Sydney
  • \n
  • A current Employee Working with Children Check
  • \n
  • A current driver licence and access to reliable transport
  • \n
What's in It for You?\n
    \n
  • A high‑impact leadership role supporting multiple campuses across Sydney
  • \n
  • Career variety, with the opportunity to step into different campus environments and challenges
  • \n
  • Car allowance
  • \n
  • Competitive salary with annual performance and pay reviews
  • \n
  • 50% discount on childcare fees
  • \n
  • Additional wellbeing days each year
  • \n
  • Access to our Employee Assistance Program
  • \n
  • Structured support, training and mentoring from experienced operational leaders
  • \n
  • Career pathways into regional, operational or central support leadership roles
  • \n
Why Join Only About Children?\n
