We are seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to join our dynamic team based in Sydney. As a Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing technical solutions that address specific business challenges. Your solutions will align with our organisation’s enterprise principles and standards, ensuring they are secure, scalable, high-performing, and maintainable. The role will also involve systems integration design and collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive technological advancements and digital transformation.

You will be tasked with formulating and implementing end-to-end architecture designs, ensuring the solutions integrate seamlessly with current systems and technologies while supporting business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architecture Practice: Lead Solution Architecture efforts to ensure alignment with business objectives, while developing and maintaining architecture artifacts like standards, templates, and models. Produce high-quality documentation to support project delivery.
• Solution Design & Implementation: Design end-to-end solutions covering Business, Application, Data, Integration, Network, Security, and Operations. Provide guidance to global teams and assess risks and dependencies across projects.
• Technology Evaluation: Assess and recommend technologies to optimise solutions, reduce technology debt, and improve efficiency.
• Governance & Best Practices: Ensure architecture governance, security, and strategic direction throughout the project lifecycle. Conduct architecture reviews and propose improvements to existing systems.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with business and technology stakeholders, translating business needs into technical solutions. Manage external vendor engagement for design and development.
• Mentorship: Mentor and guide IT teams on architectural best practices, facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions, and ensure alignment with architectural standards on complex projects.
• Communication: Exhibit strong interpersonal, facilitation, and negotiation skills. Clearly communicate technical solutions and deliver comprehensive documentation for stakeholders.

Knowledge and Experience:

• 10+ years in technology solution implementation, with 5+ years focused on solution architecture.
• Proven success in designing and implementing large-scale solutions.
• Strong knowledge of cloud technologies (Azure) and software development methodologies.
• Expertise in resolving solution design and architecture challenges.
• Experience in agile and hybrid project environments.
• Tertiary qualification in IT, with relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, Cloud Tech).
• In-depth understanding of architectural disciplines across complex projects.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with external partners.
• Business acumen with a practical understanding of emerging technologies.
