Rockhampton Regional Council is seeking a motivated and skilled Land Use and Community Planner to join our team. This is your opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our vibrant region.
As a Land Use and Community Planner, you will support Council’s vision by delivering efficient, effective, and timely community, land use, and strategic planning projects.
You’ll work collaboratively with staff, government agencies, and the public, ensuring professional and confidential service at all times. Your expertise will help manage future growth and development, contributing to the long-term prosperity of Rockhampton.
This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).
What we are looking for- Degreequalification in Urban/Regional Planning, Town/City Planning, Urban/Development Planning, Urban Design, Master Planning, Project Management or Local Government (or related discipline) and/or equivalent demonstrated experience.
- A person who can implement best practice land use and community planning concepts to meet Council's Corporate objectives.
- Someone with experience delivering projects and providing advice on community, land use and strategic planning matters.

Application Criteria- Experience in delivering projects in the context of land use and Master Planning.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in dealing with planning legislation and local planning instruments.
- Experience is collating, analysing, and presenting information and data.
- Highly developed communication and conflict resolution skills.
