• Pitch, research, and produce original, high‑quality sports / news stories for broadcast.
• Work under tight deadlines to deliver clear, accurate, and engaging TV news content.
• Report live with confidence on breaking stories.
• Proactively source stories, ensuring comprehensive and dynamic coverage.
• Cover other newsroom roles as required.

• Strong news judgment and an understanding of the TV news landscape.
• In‑depth knowledge of local, national, and international sport.
• Exceptional communication skills—both on‑air and behind the scenes.
• Highly motivated to cultivate contacts, you’re not afraid to pick up the phone.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• An understanding of editing and open to editing stories.
• Flexibility to work across different shifts, including weekends, to meet newsroom demands.
• Strong grasp of media law and its application in news reporting.
