Full job description

Light Vehicle Mechanic Required

K&W Motor Service in Brisbane is looking for a Full Time 38 hours per week Automotive Motor Mechanic to join our team at our workshop in Slacks Creek Brisbane.

Successful candidate must be a skilled Motor Mechanic with a passion for repairing and restoring motor vehicles. Applicant must be self‑motivated, results driven and a team player with exceptional mechanic knowledge, good communication skills, high level proficiency in the use of specific tools and techniques, and an exceptional ability to manage time.

Responsibilities
  • Vehicle servicing, diagnosis, and repair (mechanical), however some electrical knowledge is also desirable.
  • Performing routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections, CV shafts, drive belts, fuel/ and cooling system repairs.
  • Use of diagnostic scanners, analyzers, and other modern workshop equipment.
  • Carry out a wide range of diagnostic roles and complete repair orders to the manufacturers & dealership requirements.
  • Provide a high level of customer satisfaction through professional servicing work.
  • Organisation and maintenance of tools and equipment.
  • While not necessary, it shall be desirable for the mechanic to also test and repair electrical systems such as lighting, instrumentation, ignition, and electronic fuel injection.
Skills Required
  • Australian Automotive Mechanic Trade Certificate Cert. III & IV or equivalent overseas qualifications.
  • Minimum of 2 year’s experience.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Tyre & wheel alignment experience (an advantage).
  • Knowledge of automotive electrical systems is preferred.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, but also must be able to work independently unsupervised.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $68,000.00 – $101,897.62 per year
