Boeing Defence Australia is seeking a qualified Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) - Structures to join our Deep Maintenance Team supporting the Australian Defence Force's fleet of F/A-18F Super Hornet aircraft at RAAF Base Amberley.

About the Role

\n

As an AME Structures Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out structural maintenance activities in support of scheduled deep maintenance programs and aircraft recovery tasks.

\n

Working within a safety-critical aviation environment, your responsibilities will include:

  • Aircraft structural inspections and repairs

  • Composite structure assessment and repair
  • \n
  • Metallic structure repair and restoration
  • \n
  • Removal and replacement of aircraft structural components

  • Fabrication and installation of repair schemes

  • Corrosion assessment and rectification
  • \n
  • Aircraft modification activities

  • Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Structures)
  • \n
  • Demonstrated experience as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Structures
  • \n
  • Experience performing aircraft structural repairs in a regulated aviation environment

  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, repair instructions and technical manuals
  • \n
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality and compliance
  • \n
  • High attention to detail and workmanship standards
