About the Opportunity:This is a fantastic entry‑level opportunity within a structured training program designed to support women into long‑term careers as Operator Drivers. The successful candidate will commence as a contingent worker with Cat5 for an initial 3‑month period before transitioning into the Women on Wheels program.The Women on Wheels program is a 12‑month training pathway. Participants will gain hands‑on experience, supported training, and assistance in obtaining their HR licence, with the goal of securing long‑term employment as an Operator Driver.Eligibility: This is an identified position for an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander woman.
Key Requirements:
Current driver’s licence (minimum 2 years, no L plates)
Must be Karratha‑based with own accommodation (residential role, no FIFO or housing provided)
Ability to pass pre‑employment medicals, including Fit2Drive assessment
Willingness to receive required vaccinations
Ability to pass and maintain Drug & Alcohol screening
Ability to complete a National Police Clearance
Duties may include:
Yard support and site‑based tasks
Basic administrative duties
Shadow and learn operational routes and responsibilities
Operate company collection vehicles across the wider Rockhampton region, primarily using Front Lift and Hook Lift systems as operationally required
Safely operate company vehicles and associated equipment in line with procedures
Transport and deliver loads to nominated recycling and disposal facilities
Conduct daily pre‑start inspections and routine maintenance checks on vehicles and equipment
Liaise professionally with clients and ensure safe loading and unloading of the vehicle
Skills and Experience:
Unrestricted Heavy Rigid (HR) licence (Australia) or Class 4 (New Zealand) as a minimum
Heavy Combination (HC) licence is preferred
Comfortable multi‑tasking and manually operating vehicle controls
Flexible to work some rostered weekend shifts
Strong commitment to safety with a Zero Harm mindset

Responsibilities:
Support daily cash flow tracking and reporting activities
Complete bank and credit card reconciliations using Xero
Oversee weekly payroll and accounts payable outputs
Assist with month‑end processes, including journal preparation
Perform balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis
