This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Telecommunications Supervisor with a strong technical background in communications infrastructure and an understanding of rigging-related field environments. Statutory Supervisor (S26) certification is essential for this role.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Telecommunications Supervisor to oversee installation, construction and maintenance activities on rail telecommunications projects. You will lead on-site delivery, coordinate field teams and subcontractors, and ensure safe, compliant and high-quality execution of all telecomms works. This role requires excellent communication, strong technical capability and proven supervisory experience within telecommunications environments. This position operates on an 8/6 FIFO roster with 12-hour shifts, supporting major rail & mining operations across WA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise field crews delivering telecommunications installation, cable routing, equipment mounting, testing, and commissioning
  • Ensure all works comply with project designs, rail standards, and technical engineering specifications
  • Provide on-site troubleshooting and technical oversight for telecomms infrastructure and systems
  • Develop and coordinate daily work plans, toolbox meetings, and job briefings
  • Manage subcontractors and ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality delivery
  • Support system testing, validation, and commissioning across communications networks

Safety, Compliance & Site Management

  • Fulfil all responsibilities as an S26 Statutory Supervisor
  • Enforce HSEQ and rail access requirements, ensuring all personnel operate safely and compliantly
  • Maintain daily reporting, work records, progress updates, and risk assessments
  • Liaise with project management, rail network operators, and key stakeholders to ensure alignment and smooth project execution
  • Promote a strong safety culture across all site operations

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience as a Telecommunications Supervisor
  • Strong technical background in telecommunications construction or installation (rigging-aligned experience beneficial)
  • S26 Statutory Supervisor certification (mandatory)
  • Experience working on rail projects or rail-based communications systems (highly desirable)
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and coordination skills
