We have an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Officer to assist our Darwin Operations.


ABOUT THE ROLE

The primary purpose of the Warehouse Officer is to provide assistance to the Warehouse Team Leader in the daily operations of the warehouse, not limited to Goods Receipting, Picking/Issuing of materials. A genuine interest in providing customer service excellence is critical to this role. Specific Responsibilities

  • Checking and signing consignment notes
  • Loading and unloading freight utilising mobile plant
  • Stock picking, packing, and processing of goods issues.
  • Receipting of materials to warehouse utilising SAP inventory system.
  • Review of Certifications for materials
  • Quality Assurance checks
  • Stocktaking
  • Investigation of stock discrepancies
  • Stock disposal processing
  • Investigating requirements for Warehouse Returns
  • Use of staging and tracking tool in SAP
  • Packing materials for transport

  • Report to duty in a fit state, free from fatigue the influence of alcohol or other drugs
  • Wear required Personal Protective Equipment and operate plant equipment safely.
  • Participate in consultation activities regarding matters affecting your health, safety, and welfare.
  • Participate in relevant safety training and maintaining your safety related competencies.
  • Engage in Work only when in possession of required and current Certificates of Competence

Qualifications and Experience

Essential

  • High risk forklift ticket - LF
  • Knowledge and understanding of warehousing operations.
  • Experience using MM systems, SAP inventory system highly desired.
  • High attention to detail
  • Demonstrate use of warehouse inventory management systems
  • Basic computer skills, competent in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel etc.

Desirable

  • Knowledge and experience of applicable standards and legislation for dangerous goods handling and storage awareness
  • Demonstrated experience completing IMDG documentation.
  • Demonstrated experience handling dangerous goods.
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable to work in a demanding environment.
  • Current First Aid Certificate
