IT Risk Analyst (12M Contract)

Please note that due to the max term nature of this role, successful applicants will be engaged via a Volkswagen Group Australia (VGA) approved agency partner and not via VGA directly. Otherwise you will be working onsite/ hybrid at VGA as per typical working arrangements.

About your new Role

This role is a 12 month fixed term contract to support our IT Team reporting to the IT Security Manager within VGA based in Zetland. As an IT Risk and governance analyst, the role will support and analyse IT security process, IT compliance topics and controls focusing on the protection of new and existing critical VGA IT systems and information, ensuring confidentiality, integrity, and availability.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• IT Risk analysis to best understand key risks and implement controls and necessary documentation as required
• Maintain and operate the Information Security Management System (ISMS)
• IT governance and compliance support across internal processes and procedures and ensure improvements across action plans, updating of IT guidelines and policies in line with group global headquarters requirements
• Continuous improvement across key IT processes, documentation and reporting
• Support across additional projects and IT management reporting for continued success

About you
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following:

• Relevant IT certifications such as (Security+, CISA) would be an advantage but not mandatory
• Strong experience across IT Security, IT Risk management and/or IT governance and audit
• Experience across risk assessment and controls with a foundational knowledge of IT components such as networks, operating systems, middleware, databases or cloud services
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills with proven ability in improving processes and procedures
• Great attention to detail and organisational time management skills
