We have an exciting new opportunity to join our business as a Leasing Executive in our Property team.

The role involves being on the road with the opportunity to be based with our QLD state team and WFH when you are not on the road negotiating great outcomes for TRS. We are looking for a proactive and positive team member who can contribute to the profitability and growth of TRS.

Reporting to the General Manager - Property you will use your broad property network to source new store opportunities that add to the overall store network growth targets for TRS. In addition, a key element is renewing our existing stores and ensuring favourable lease terms are negotiated and are consistent with the store network.

Our ideal team member has retail leasing experience on either the tenant &/or landlord side and enjoys the challenge of growing a store network with a category leading and iconic National retailer.

Key accountabilities:

• Conduct feasibility, due diligence and financial analysis on proposed new stores and existing sites
• Negotiate commercial terms and lease agreements within budget and time parameters
• Manage & build Landlord relationships
• Report on progress and performance and prepare monthly reports
• Liaise with the store operations team on any raised property
• Liaise with Project Managers on new stores and refurbishments
• Liaise with the Legal department, particularly in relation to Lease Administration
• Constantly review poor performing stores and manage occupancy costs

To be considered for this opportunity, you should have:

• Our ideal team member has retail leasing experience on either the tenant &/or landlord side and enjoys the challenge of growing a store network with a category leading and iconic National retailer.
• A minimum of 5 years experience in a property environment specifically in retail leasing is preferred, however experience in other sectors may be considered.
• A team player that will fit seamlessly into an established and high performing environment
• Proven ability to identify, negotiate and resolve problems, acting decisively and showing good judgement
• Strong organisational skills and great attention to detail
• Excellent communicator with the ability to collaborate and manage stakeholder across the business
