We have an exciting permanent opportunity to work with our Freedom of Information team within in our legal services unit

Position overview

The FOI Officer is responsible for administering the VBAs Freedom of Information (FOI) function and ensuring the VBA meets legislative obligations. Reporting directly to the Managing Legal Counsel - Legislative Functions, Advice & Commercial, this role leverages a sound understanding of FOI principles and process, keen attention to detail and excellent time management skills to prioritise and consistently deliver in a high-volume, deadline driven environment.

What we are looking for:

  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong record keeping and time management skills.
  • Well-developed verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
  • Well-developed analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with the Freedom of Information Act is highly desirable.
