About the team

The Transport Maintenance Team is an internal service provider to all Asset Custodians throughout the whole of the City and provides comprehensive maintenance on the Citys infrastructure including, roads, storm water drainage, and foreshores.

About your new role

Our Transport Maintenance Team are seeking to appoint a motivated individual to join the team as an Underground Drainage Worker. 

As the successful candidate, you will form part of a work team that perform specialist tasks associated with the maintenance of the Citys stormwater drainage systems.  

  • Perform skilled and specialist tasks associated with?non-tidal stormwater drainage systems including manholes, gully pits, inlet/outlet structures, pipelines and associated works. 
  • Demonstrated ability to operate minor equipment and machinery associated with various works tasks. 

    • Were looking for people who have:

  • MR Class Drivers Licence (Mandatory) 
  • General Construction Induction White Card (Mandatory)
  • Enter and Work in Confined Space (Mandatory) 
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety 
  • Sound physical health to enable you to satisfactorily perform the physically demanding duties of this position
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with others in a manner conducive to creating a cooperative team environment
  • Effective numeracy and literacy skills commensurate with the requirements of the position
