- Strategic Leadership and Operational Oversight: Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with supply chain goals to meet and exceed efficiency, quality, and cost targets. Maintain oversight of all supply chain operational processes including inventory management, warehousing, device tracking, physical receipt, diagnostics, grading, quality assurance, kitting/boxing, and order fulfilment (B2C and B2B).
- Continuous Improvement: Champion and implement continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean, 5S,VSM) to reduce processing costs per device, optimize workflows, improve storage, support automation initiatives, enhance operational efficiency, and eliminate unproductive processes. Leverage efficiency as a competitive advantage.
- Team Management: Lead, manage, train, and engage a diverse operational team, including supervisors and team leaders, fostering a culture of excellence, safety, and high performance. Ensure adequate staffing, manage labour costs, and control overtime/casual usage. Promote employee engagement through surveys.
- Quality Control: Ensure all supply chain operations meet stringent quality standards. Oversee quality assurance activities, manage exceptions, implement corrective actions, and address error trends.
- Cost Management and Efficiency: Identify and implement measures to improve operational effectiveness and reduce operating costs. Manage freight and transport selection for optimal service levels at the lowest cost. Control inventory levels and optimize storage.
- Supplier and Partner Relationship Management: Manage key relationships with service providers (e.g., freight, consumables, accessories, repair partners) to ensure efficient operations. Oversee stocking levels of consumables, managing lead times, including those with international suppliers.
- Safety and Compliance (WHS): Drive a "Safety First" approach, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations (Work Health and Safety Act 2011). Develop, implement, and monitor strategic WHS plans, training, documentation, and recordkeeping. Conduct regular toolbox meetings.
- Inventory and Warehouse Management: Manage and maintain accurate inventory, optimize storage locations for efficient space use and pick velocity. Ensure high standards of cleanliness and tidiness (5S methodology).
- Project Management & Support: Provide leadership and support for broader organizational projects, ensuring operational aspects are integrated and executed efficiently. Manage operational projects, potentially including system implementations (e.g., new automation tools ) or support for related operations. Manage priorities across tasks effectively.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Solid understanding of supply chain and warehouse operations.
- Proven ability to implement continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, 5S).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong project management and prioritization skills.
- Experience managing budgets and controlling operational costs.
- Knowledge of WHS regulations and best practices.
- Proficiency in using operational reporting tools, KPI dashboards, and inventory management systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for managing teams and stakeholders.
