Security and Traffic Services Manager

The Security and Traffic Services Manager at ECU is responsible for leading and managing the Security & Traffic Business Units. This role ensures the delivery of effective and efficient security and traffic services, contributing to a safe and secure environment for the university community. The Role We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Security and Traffic Services Manager to lead our Security & Traffic Business Units. This role is critical in ensuring the safety and security of our universitys physical and electronic assets, as well as managing car parking facilities. Key Responsibilities Provide leadership and management for the Security and Traffic Services team. Oversee security and traffic services, including management of critical contracts. Manage emergency management and security systems. Liaise with key stakeholders to effectively deliver a safe and secure environment. Promote a safe campus environment through risk assessments, awareness programs, and emergency management. Participate in strategic planning and project management within Facilities and Campus Services. Qualifications Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline with extensive experience, or equivalent knowledge gained through education, training, and experience. Understanding of contemporary security and parking technologies and systems. Skills and Attributes Strong leadership and team development skills. Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage budgets and resources effectively. Commitment to ECUs values and strategic vision. Special Conditions Security Agent License and Security Consultants License required. Position of Trust Preferred applicants will be required to undertake a pre-employment health assessment. Benefits & Remuneration This full-time, ongoing position attracts a remuneration of $154,821 per annum inclusive of 17% superannuation. ECU supports a work/life balance for staff.
