Principal Data Analyst

In this role you will: Prepare prisoner and offender population forecasts to support operational and financial planning decisions. Maintain and refine the forecasting model to ensure accurate and reliable projections. Assess the impact of proposed legislation, policy and practice changes on prisoner and offender populations. Provide high level expert advice and recommendations to the Director, REDIAG and the Manager, Data Insights and Analysis on a wide range of complex issues related to data analysis. Identify and interpret trends in correctional system using specialist knowledge of correctional data and descriptive, exploratory, and statistical techniques. Develop reports, graphical presentations briefs and other documents related to forecasting, modelling, and data analysis. Support data-driven evaluation and reporting by developing insights that inform performance measurement and strategic planning within QCS. Undertake high-level consultation, discussion and negotiation with key internal clients and stakeholders to support effective QCS operations. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures as well as emerging issues and trends impacting corrective services Applications to remain current for 12 months.This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Australia License.
