SCIG are on the lookout for an experienced Parts Interpreter with good industry knowledge of automotive parts and a strong track record in either spares or after-market parts sales. This position also provides added exposure to Co-ordination of SCIG Ancillary Hire equipment supporting our valued retail and trade customers, as well internal customer service.
Duties include but are not limited to:
· Respond to sales counter, email, telephone, and website/online sale inquiries
· Assist customers with requirements ensuring all enquiries are dealt with in a timely and professional manner
· Preparation of quotes and other documentation, ensuring prompt and accurate delivery of parts
· Co-ordinate and administrate required activities dry hiring ancillary equipment
· Liaise with purchasing team to provide accurate information in relation to pricing availability and supply of spare parts for customer orders
· Ensure customers receive timely communication of any alterations to the confirmed delivery date
· Follow up on quotations with customers to further promote sales and record responses of special interest
· Participate in any after hour requirements including Saturday roster programs when required
The right candidate will possess:
· Ideally 1-2 years of previous experience in a parts interpreter role
· Be customer focused and committed to providing customer satisfaction
· Strong administration & computing skills, including a high attention to detail and data accuracy and integrity
· Excellent sales skills with proven results in achieving targets
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Have initiative and be able to collaborate well as a team
· Problem-solving and decision-making skills essential
· Exposure and understanding of managing hire equipment would be of advantage but not essential
