National Account Manager

The Role:

Due to continued growth, an exciting opportunity is now available for a dedicated and hardworking individual to join our team in the position of National Account Manager. Reporting to the Executive Director of Business Development & Marketing, this role will involve growing, expanding and developing new business opportunities specific to the insurance market and increasing existing sustainable and profitable business opportunities.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage national insurance brands key accounts
  • Act as the single point of contact for clients
  • Ensure all account management objectives are met
  • Work thoughtfully to identify, clarify & exceed client expectations
  • Ensure commitments & promises are fully supported & delivered
  • Manage & execute the quote conversion process
  • Guarantee the accuracy of all monthly business reporting
  • Co-ordinate & attend regular face to face meetings, training & KPI reporting
  • At all times act as an ambassador & role model for the JLG businesses
  • Develop ongoing liaison with key clients, departments & senior management to ensure significant developments in the field are identified & monitored
  • Participate & maximize analytics, tools & systems that support efficient & effective client relations
  • Analyse the needs of the customers to identify areas where services can be improved
  • Seek out new business development opportunities to facilitate growth
  • Contribute to the total effectiveness of the respective business & the extended account management team
  • Local & interstate travel, as required
Key Selection Criteria: Do you have proven examples of demonstrating drive and energy? Are you extremely motivated and can think outside the box?   • Extensive experience in the insurance industry
  • Claims management background
  • Account management experience
  • Strong decision making & negotiation skills
  • Ability to develop strong relationships
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management & organisational skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Highly computer literate including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook
  • Positive & pro-active attitude
  • Ability to manage a demanding & changing workload & competing priorities
  • Valid Australian driver licence
