About the Opportunity Lorrex Contracting, a division of the iContracting Group, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Superintendent to join our team due to new long-term projects kicking off.

  • Roster: 8:6 dayshift only
  • Environment: Mining load and haul
About You
  • Extensive supervisory experience in mining or bulk earthworks
  • Experience maintaining Caterpillar and Komatsu earthmoving equipment, including HD785-7 rigid dump trucks and CAT992K loaders
  • Minimum 5 years in a similar role within the mining environment
  • Strong safety-focused approach to work
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills
  • Effective communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to lead, develop, and mentor crews
  • HR license (desirable)
  • White Card (essential)
  • Australian working rights (essential)
Responsibilities As the Maintenance Superintendent, reporting to the Project Manager and managing workshop personnel, you will:
  • Mentor and manage workshop HD fitters, servicemen, and subcontractors as required
  • Ensure safe maintenance practices while meeting daily KPI targets, managing both planned and unplanned events
  • Conduct daily pre-start and toolbox meetings
  • Identify and resolve maintenance-related issues with the project team
  • Maintain high safety standards and lead by example to encourage safe work practices
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes and specifications, and implement client requirements
