For further information: click here PRIMARY OBJECTIVE Provide high-quality strategic financial guidance, leadership and insight for their operational business unit, interpreting business needs, challenging the business, delivering meaningful quantitative and qualitative information which will ensure the strategic path chosen will create value against an acceptable level of risk. This will be a key enabler for Power and Water Corporation (PWC) to achieve its core business objectives. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES The “WHAT” to be delivered Business Partner
  • As a Finance Business Partner, you will play a pivotal role in articulating, achieving and evaluating the vision, strategic directions and financial
performance of the operating lines of business including but not limited to: o Financial advice, through the development, review and endorsement of business cases from a financial perspective. o Capital investment analysis, management and reporting to enhance delivery of the Capital Management program. o Financial modelling. o Analysis of cost management and revenue opportunities that will create value for the business.
  • Provide expert risk-based financial advice to the Executive General Managers and their leadership team that is insightful and responsive to the
needs of PWC as a whole as well as the line of business specifically.
  • Implement and provide oversight of the budget process for those who are responsible for budget management within the lines of business,
including Project Managers and Administrators.
  • Ensure there is sufficient and capable resources for the delivery of client focused support services that are effective and efficient of the core
operational and strategic environments of PWC.
  • Developing and maintaining collaborative partnerships and strategic alliances with all key stakeholders and representing the operating lines of
business where necessary.
  • Accountable for leading the delivery of monthly financial reporting, Statement of Corporate Intent (SCI) submissions and working capital

  • Coach and assist the development of strategies and action plans to improve team engagement and morale.
  • With the support and advice of the People and Culture Business Partners, provide guidance to all employees using relevant information, ensuring
all employee relations issues are dealt with in an appropriate manner.
  • Coach employees on problems affecting work performance.
Business Planning
  • In consultation with the Business Unit and Chief Financial Officer, assist in establishing performance targets and participate in business planning
and strategy determinations.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and other management plans with respect to Finance and Business Services.
Leadership
  • Provide effective leadership to ensure there is sufficient and capable resources for the delivery of financial services to the business units.
  • Ownership and accountability for driving meaningful and sustainable change across Finance and Business Services (including investing and
building sustainable capabilities among employees, while increasing engagement and job satisfaction).
  • Act under own initiative and be able to respond pro-actively in a changing and dynamic environment.
  • Ability to manage upwards at Senior Management level and obtain support in an environment of conflicting priorities and perspectives.
  • Development and review of MyPlans for direct reports.
