Located in the Western Suburbs of Melbourne, this leading fulfilment and logistics company is committed to delivering exceptional service to its customers. Operating in a state-of-the-art automated fulfilment centre, they ensure timely and accurate order dispatches with cutting-edge technology. As they continue to grow, they are seeking a motivated and experienced Night Shift Operations Supervisor to lead their inbound and outbound operations team.

About the role:

The Night Shift Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the inbound and outbound fulfilment operation, ensuring efficient order processing, shipping, and overall workflow optimisation. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a high-pressure environment while maintaining operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead a team of 30+ , ensuring productivity and performance goals are met.
  • Manage the picking, packing, and shipping processes to ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment.
  • Monitor daily operations, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to optimize workflow.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Coordinate with internal departments, such as inventory control and customer service, to streamline operations.
  • Train, mentor, and develop team members, providing ongoing feedback and performance evaluations.
  • Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track shipments, orders, and team performance.
  • Maintain accurate reports on outbound operations, including KPIs, order accuracy, and shipping metrics.
  • Address and resolve operational challenges, ensuring customer satisfaction and delivery deadlines are met.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Previous experience in a supervisory role within a distribution centre, warehouse, or logistics environment.
  • Experience within an automated warehouse highly regarded
  • Strong understanding of inbound and outbound logistics, order fulfilment, and shipping procedures.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and organisational skills.
  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
