The Salvation Army is one of Australias largest providers of alcohol and other drug services. We offer a range of services including Harm Reduction and Primary Health Services as well as a range of treatment types (including residential treatment centres, community-based support programs, counselling, and withdrawal management services). About the role

We are seeking a values-driven and proactive Chef, at our Gosnells location. Reporting to the Centre Manager, this is a permanent, part-time position offering 15 hours per week. Salary and conditions are in accordance with the SCHADS Award, level 3.

You will successfully Ensure that the standard of meals provided to participants is of an excellent standard leading to a high level of participant satisfaction. Make certain day-to-day purchase, delivery, storage, preparation, cooking, service and presentation of food and drinks for participants is completed within the prescribed standards. Ensure that the Harry Hunter Centre always has adequate supplies to deliver high quality meals.

Make sure that food quality is optimal at all times. Ensure that operational practices and processes meet the requirements of the Health Department and all relevant regulatory bodies. Ensure that systems are implemented for clear communication and handover between staff.

Attend any meetings and undertake administration duties as required. Contribute to improved processes and policies in line with constant reviewing of operational processes. You will have (Requisite Skills & Qualifications) Tertiary or Industry qualifications equivalent to at least Certificate III in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery).

Food Handlers Supervisors Certificate and skills. Extensive experience in a high-volume commercial kitchen with solid experience in people management. Thorough understanding of Hospitality Industry requirements and standards.

Experience in managing a food services program within a residential facility with proven ability to run a food program within budgetary constraints. Ability to develop, write, administer and evaluate all aspects of the Food Safety Plan. A National Police Record Check is required.

Current WA Drivers Licence. Current First Aid Certificate with CPR.

Proficient interpersonal skills, and strong verbal and written communications.
