About the role
The Department is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support a suite of strategic initiatives aimed at modernising and integrating asset management systems. This role is critical to improving how we collect, manage, and visualise data that underpins investment planning.
Key responsibilities
Pavement Data Collection Process Review:
- Evaluate and enhance existing pavement data collection processes (deflection, skid resistance, roughness, rutting, cracking).
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve data quality.
BIM Integration Strategy:
- Assess current use of Building Information Modelling (BIM)
- Develop a roadmap for integrating BIM with TSAM’s core infrastructure asset management systems
- Legacy Mapping Tool (MapView) Evaluation
- Analyse user requirements and current functionality of MapView.
- Recommend whether existing tools can replace MapView for data visualisation and analysis.
Highly desirable
- Demonstrated experience in problem solving, analysis, and documentation of complex business systems, data, and processes to support ICT solution delivery.
- Proven ability to evaluate legacy systems, understand user needs, and define key functionalities.
- Skilled in leveraging and updating existing artefacts to reflect current system states and support new initiative proposals.
- Experience in asset management systems, processes, and data—ideally within a transport or infrastructure delivery environment.
