Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Yard/General Hand to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play an integral role in maintaining our high standards for operational efficiency and safety within our yard operations. Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts to efficiently load and unload vehicles, ensuring all operations comply with safety regulations.
• Pick and pack steel orders with precision and care, maintaining attention to quality and detail.
• Skillfully operate the overhead gantry crane to facilitate the movement and placement of materials.
• Maintain a clean and orderly yard, identifying and addressing potential hazards proactively.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and support the overall success of yard operations.
• Adhere to all safety policies and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
• Engage in regular safety training and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement in safety practices.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required; comprehensive training will be provided.
• Valid Australian forklift license with experience handling diverse sizes of loads.
• Skills in operating overhead gantry cranes are advantageous but not mandatory.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
• Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
