Our client is a leading WA Civil/Earthworks company and due extensive business growth, there is now an exciting opportunity for a Workshop Coordinator to join their growing team based in the South-West, WA. This position is offered on a permanent basis with an immediate start available.
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Ensuring the safe, high quality and efficient running of all workshop operations.
- Directing mechanical/workshop staff to assigned projects.
- Plan, lead, organise and control workshop operations.
- Assist with training and development of workshop team.
- Ensure quality maintenance standards are evident and practiced throughout workshop.
- Forecasting parts needs and ordering parts to maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Receiving parts, including placing them into inventory and properly recording them.
- Have effective communication and negotiation skills with suppliers.
- Ensure that all Work Health & Safety requirements are first priority.
- Assisting with mechanical repairs and maintenance where required.
- Produce workshop activity reports for Senior Management.
Key skills, experience and qualifications required:
- Previous experience gained in a Workshop Management position.
- Ideally be a Trade qualified Diesel Fitter/Mechanic or have strong industry experience.
- Excellent technical and Product knowledge to ensure parts are correctly identified and sourced.
- Problem-solving skills to deal with parts/inventory issues.
- Keen observation skills to monitor plant and machinery.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong focus on safety.
- A can-do attitude is a must.
- C-Class Drivers licence.
