The Principal Consultant will “bridge the gap” between the business and technicalteams by solving complex Workday intersystem problems. They will guide clientsthrough the transformation, implementation, and operation phases of a Workdayimplementation.
Responsibilities:
Reinforces company policies and procedures to others.
Helps others by driving, organizing and assigning tasks within a projectworkstream in order to drive efficient completion and achieve project
goals.
Guide the client through facilitated design sessions and configurationdecisions based on best practices and an understanding of the client’sunique business requirements at all stages of the project.
Regularly engage and support the client through all phases of the project,ensuring a smooth transfer from legacy systems to the Workday HCMsolution.
Perform multiple tasks under limited direction, while regularly keeping theclient, the project team and the Engagement Manager abreast of changesor progress related to the project.
Willingness to take a leadership position on a project, or as a Cognizant or Workday product Partner Lead and/or Delivery Assurance Reviewer.
Display your hands-on expertise of the software, including iLoading clientdata, moving configuration from tenant to tenant, and configuringbusiness processes and security.
Utilize your technical aptitude to convert and map data sources into dataconversion templates via iLoads.
Act as a mentor to fellow consultants and analysts, including providingsupport for shadow assignments.
Actively participate in update training and internal opportunities to shareone’s skills and learnings with others within the organization.
Skills & Requirements:
Ideally 3-5 years of consulting experience
Workday Integration, Workday Studio TM and Workday CCTPP TM certification preferred
Project experience in a technical or techno-functional role on one or more ERP implementation projects using SOA tools (SAP NetWeaver, Oracle Fusion, Workday Studio or other middleware platform)
Demonstrated proficiency with web service technologies (REST, JSON, SOAP, HTTP, SSL, PGP, SAML, etc)
B.A. / B.S., Management Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, computer science or other engineering discipline preferred
Exceptional written and verbal communication capabilities; able to communicate effectively with diverse people and individuals at various levels within the organization
Superior detail orientation, organization, and analytical skills
Outstanding Excel skills
Ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, growing, ecosystem with minimal supervision
