Water & Waste Water Coordinator

We are currently seeking an experienced Water and Waste Waster Supervisor to assist a Council in Central West Queensland for a period of 3 months.  The Position: You will be required to coordinate and manage the operation and maintenance of the water and wastewater infrastructure including the day to day operations of the water supply and treatment and waste water treatment. 

Skills / Experience Required:

• Extensive knowledge of the operations and maintenance of activated sludge treatment processes, water supply reticulation and disinfection.
• Strong experience in the operation of water and waste water treatment plants and preventative maintenance procedures.
• Proven leadership capability with experience in the management of Employees and Contractors.
• Ability to prepare and submit operational compliance reports.
• Computer literate with the ability to use the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Well-developed interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills with the ability to liaise with internal and external customers and stakeholders.
• Must be a Licenced Plumber or possess a minimum Certificate III in Water Operations.

• Hourly rate is negotiable.
• Self-contained accommodation will be provided for the durations of the assignment.
• Travel costs will be covered at the beginning and end of the assignment.
• Work vehicle provided.
