We are currently seeking a part-time Wills and Estates Lawyer to join our team. This opportunity is ideal for someone who has some experience in Wills and Estates, is looking for a part-time role, and who shares our commitment to exceptional client service.

About the role

• Part-time position - the days worked and number of hours is negotiable for the right candidate.

• Areas of service - you have the opportunity work on estate planning, estate administration and estate litigation matters.

• File management - you will have carriage of files and be responsible for delivering high-quality legal services.

• Professional development and support - you will have the opportunity to enhance your legal skills through hands-on experience, while benefiting from dedicated administrative support to help manage your files efficiently. 

• Business development - you will play an active role in building and maintaining client relationships, contributing to the growth of the firm through networking, referrals and community engagement.

Skills required

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.

• Proven ability to manage competing priorities, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.

• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment. 

• Working knowledge of the Succession Act 1981 (Qld), the Powers of Attorney Act 1998 (Qld).

• Experience drafting simple and complex estate planning documents.

• Experience in the administration of deceased estates.

• Experience with Smokeball or similar practice management system.

You need to hold a current solicitors practising certificate.
