About The Role

We are building our team of casual Water Metering Technicians for upcoming projects. The position offers consistent full‑time hours (38+ hours per week) and the possibility to become permanent.

We seek individuals who are independent, team‑oriented, and eager to learn.

What You’ll Be Doing – A Day in the Life
  • Check your schedule each morning.
  • Head out to site.
  • Attend approximately 30+ residential or commercial properties per day.
  • Perform field metering activities including installing/replacing meters, installing/replacing data loggers and completing metering investigations.
  • Accurately record meter specifications and site data using a mobile app.
  • Log each completed job on our mobile app before moving to the next.
Key Responsibilities
  • Water meter replacement & assembly maintenance.
  • Follow correct replacement procedures.
  • Customer service – face‑to‑face and phone.
  • Perform tasks within budgets and time frames.
  • Communicate regularly with office support team.
  • Maintain accurate and timely digital job installation records.
  • Ensure that all tasks are performed in a manner consistent with state and company OH&S policies and procedures.
  • Work independently day to day and to a schedule.
About You
  • Strong mechanical aptitude – proficient with hand tools.
  • A positive attitude, strong work ethic with a willingness to learn.
  • An aptitude for problem solving.
  • Attention to detail – data accuracy is essential.
  • Reliable, punctual, and capable of meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • The ability to work under supervision both individually and occasionally in a team setting.
  • Able to do a lot of bending, squatting and walking (moderate degree of physical fitness).
  • Ability to work in most weather conditions.
  • Flexible and comfortable with daily travel.
  • A current driver's licence.
  • A red/white card.
