The role
As a Waste Operations Driver, you’ll operate heavy vehicles such as rear load garbage compactors to deliver safe, efficient and reliable waste services. Your work directly contributes to the cleanliness, sustainability and liveability of our city.
Multiple positions are available, offering a great work-life balance and the chance to be part of a team that genuinely looks out for one another. We are hiring multiple positions, including a permanent full time and a temporary 12-month full time contract.

What you’ll be doing
Operating heavy plant and equipment including rear loaders, side loaders and bin delivery trucks
Collecting domestic, commercial and public waste in line with service standards
Working safely and in compliance with Heavy Vehicle National Law and Chain of Responsibility requirements
Keeping streets clean, tidy and well-maintained for residents and visitors
About you
You’re reliable, safety-focused and take pride in a job well done. You work well independently or in a team and are flexible to changing routes to meet customer needs.
You’ll need:
A Class HR Driver’s Licence
Experience driving heavy rigid vehicles
The ability to work safely and unsupervised
Good communication skills
Side loader experience (highly regarded but not essential)
