THE ROLE
Provide on‑site inductions ensuring all employees and contractors are site compliant and competent to perform the required tasks/roles.
Conduct and facilitate training of underground operators and associated personnel, assessing for competency, identifying shortfalls in skillsets, ensuring training is realistic and practical, and accurately recording and displaying competency data.
Provide training and mentoring to underground personnel through crew presentations, communications, and knowledge sharing.
Coordinate and schedule all external training courses.
Maintain accurate records and ensure the integrity of department information, conducting regular reviews to ensure validity (INX InTuition/InControl).
Assist and facilitate incident investigation, liaising with relevant departments and producing detailed reports to management.
Conduct workplace inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety and emergency response processes.
Mentor trainees and promote safety excellence.
Use feedback to continuously improve training delivery and outcomes.
WHAT DO I NEED
Minimum 2 years of underground experience in a similar role.
Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent).
High‑risk work licenses (LF, WP & DG desirable).
Proven experience delivering training within underground mining environments.
Skilled in developing engaging training materials and assessments.
Solid computer skills & literacy, particularly across the MS Office suite.
Experience using INX systems (InTuition & InControl).
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Strong organisational and problem‑solving skills.
Commitment to maintaining a proactive safe working environment.
Qualifications in WHS or related discipline (desirable).
