Position
This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 3, 2026. Southern River College (SRC) seeks an enthusiastic, collaborative and passionate Students At Educational Risk (SAER) teacher to join our dedicated and supportive team. Southern River College offers a range of programs designed to support students’ academic and holistic development, with a focus on the senior school Years 11 & 12 transition.
Responsibilities
- Re‑engage and support a small group of senior school students through their WACE journey.
- Deliver lessons in Math Essentials, General English, and General Careers & Employability.
- Assist students in commencing post‑school career planning and pathway.
- Support the attainment of a Certificate II in Workplace Skills qualification.
- Apply trauma‑informed practice and Positive Behaviour Support frameworks to support students.
- Utilise Classroom Management Strategies and Instructional Strategies for Engagement to reinforce learning.
Qualifications
- Hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration.
- Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or hold a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of appointment.
- Apply for a WA Working with Children Check before starting.
- Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number.
