About the role:

Are you passionate about empowering children to communicate and thrive? Do you believe in a family-centered, individualized approach to therapy? Our client is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Speech Pathologists to join our growing team. They believe in creating enjoyable and effective communication strategies tailored to each child's unique needs and family dynamics.

As a Speech Pathologist, you will:

• Develop and implement individualized communication plans: Based on thorough assessments, parent insights, and the latest evidence-based research.
• Provide engaging and play-based therapy: Focusing on building a trusting therapeutic relationship and centering activities around children's interests.
• Support children with diverse communication needs: Including speech sound delays and disorders, language delays and disorders, social communication challenges, and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC).
• Offer early intervention therapy: For children with Autism and developmental delays aged 12 months to 5 years.
• Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments: Gathering insights from parents and observing children in play and engaging activities.
• Provide parent and carer support: Educating and empowering families to support their child's communication development.
• Utilize our state-of-the-art facilities: Including outdoor play spaces and personalized therapy rooms, to create a stimulating and engaging therapeutic environment.
• Navigate funding options: Assisting families with Medicare, Private Health Insurance, private funding, and NDIS packages.

Essential criteria:

• Bachelor or higher degree in Speech Pathology.
• Current SPA membership.
• Demonstrated experience working with children with diverse communication needs.
• Strong understanding of evidence-based practice and family-centered principles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
