Join us as a friendly social volunteer for weekly one‑hour visits with a lovely lady who has a big heart for animals, especially dogs. She also enjoys relaxing with her favourite TV programs, including The Bold and the Beautiful and fun game shows like Lingo.
Your visits could include chatting, spending time together watching a show, or simply enjoying relaxed companionship and shared laughs.
If you love animals, easy‑going conversation, and helping someone look forward to each week, we’d love to hear from you—this could be the most heart‑warming hour of your week.
Your impact
Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.
HammondCare is an independent Christian charity and we're passionate about improving the quality of life for people in need. We have a wonderful group of volunteers that partner with us to enhance the lives of elderly people.
HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.
Requirements18 years or older
We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for a one hour visit between 9am and 4pm Monday to Sunday, visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability.
