About the role

We are seeking suitable applicants for the role of Senior Employee Relations Officer. This position will provide a high-level consultancy and advisory services to senior managers and employees to Divisions on more complex human resource, employee relations and complaint matters.

To be successful you will need:

  • To be a strong team player with a demonstrated commitment to resolving workplace issues in a timely manner and to a high standard.
  • A high standard and practice of ethical conduct and behaviour and adherence to the Departments Code of Conduct and other policies and procedures.

This role is required, from time to time, to travel within Western Australia by road or air for operational requirements. The occupant of this position will also be required to visit correctional facilities as part of their role.

Permanent positions - To be eligible for appointment to permanent positions in the West Australian Public Sector you must be an Australian citizen or have permanent resident status in Australia.

Permanent, fixed term, full time and part time appointments may be offered during this period.
