We are looking for a Sales and Operations Leader, Pacific to join our team. This role will be responsible for the Pacific region (Australia and New Zealand).

The role reports to the VP/GM of the Asia Pacific Region (based in Singapore) and is responsible for managing and growing the Retail Solutions business in Australia and New Zealand.

This leader’s mission will be to create and execute a strategic direction that will:

  • Maximize value for an ever-increasing number and complexity of retail customers.
  • Provide effective Go-To-Market strategy (geographical coverage, Routes to Market, Solution Strategy, Delivery methods, Channel Partner engagement, etc.)
  • Ensure delivery of exceptional customer service – Service Install & Delivery, Professional Services, and other customer touchpoints.
  • Attract and retain highly motivated and talented employees with a must-win, can-do attitude.
  • Provide long-term profitable growth.
  • Build brand loyalty.
  • Develop and improve the (primarily Direct) Sales growth in the Pacific Region (Australia and New Zealand) by driving a regular disciplined sales cadence and adherence to Opportunity and Funnel Management through Sales Force (SFDC) and Material Forecasting through S&OP tools.
  • Develop and improve the (primarily Indirect) Sales growth in the Pacific Region through Channels/Business Partners to develop and execute growth and territorial expansion strategies.

Experience Required

  • 20+ years’ experience in a successful General Management / Sales Leadership role including managing both Direct and Indirect sales teams.
  • Profit & Loss responsibility with annual revenues of at least $20M.
  • Retail Technology experience highly preferred.
  • MBA preferred.
  • Solution Selling, Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), Professional Services.
  • C-level customer engagement.
  • Strong negotiation skills.

  • Demonstrated inspirational leadership and strategic business acumen.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop predominantly executive sales territory leaders, sales executives, sales operations leaders, service delivery & install leaders. organization.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills—Strong English skills. Preferred local language skills.

  • Proven business and leadership decision making and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to quickly discern when and how to mitigate risks and when to escalate issues.
  • Successful and broad business leadership experience (Retail industry, supply chain, sales management, pipeline development, customer relationship management, finance, people leadership, channel management, etc.)
  • Capable of navigating complex and dynamic environments, in a global organization.
  • Rich LEAN/Kaizen Transformation experience and mindset.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Skilled in developing channel / business partners and growing the indirect business.
  • Able to build trust at all levels of the organization.
  • Persuasive leadership – able to lead both direct line and matrixed team members effectively, demonstrating team-oriented leadership methods, and humble confidence.
  • Conduct responsibilities with the highest level of integrity and ethics.

Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations

  • Grow both orders and revenue by double-digit percentages year-over-year.
  • Profitable P&L (Orders, Revenue, GM, EBIT) management of >$20M Revenue annually.
  • Manage Operations (Install, Delivery, Project Management, sub-contractors, warehouse).
  • Assess and identify market opportunities and customer demand.
  • Evaluate product and pricing mix required to succeed in the market.
  • Provide regular status updates to APAC VP / GM and global executives.
  • Manage Direct Sales Team including quota allocations, training, compensation & development, SFDC excellence, financial forecasting, material demand planning, and strategic long-range planning.
  • Assess staff effectiveness, appropriately exercise hire / fire authority.
  • Assess and create transformational strategies.
  • Conduct responsibilities ethically and with integrity.
