Position Profile
East Metropolitan Health Service – Armadale WA
Emergency Department Registrar Intake for 2027. Fixed‑term full‑time appointments for 6–12 months, with the possibility of extensions. The recruitment pool will be open until 31 December 2026.
Responsibilities
- Provide a high standard of medical care to adult and paediatric patients in the Emergency Department.
- Work under the direct supervision of Consultants and respond to approximately 61,500 presentations per annum, of which about 25 % are paediatric.
- Maintain an admission rate of 15 % and meet training accreditation requirements through the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine (ACEM).
- Participate in multidisciplinary team rounds, teaching sessions, and quality improvement activities.
- Adhere to all WA Health policies, including working with children checks and integrity screening.
Qualifications
- Experience as an Emergency Medicine Registrar or equivalent.
- Eligibility for and active involvement in ACEM accredited training.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced 24/7 emergency setting.
- Successful completion of required background and reference checks.
