About the role

Skillinvest is currently seeking motivated and skilled Production Workers for multiple positions with Australian Plant Proteins (APP). Based locally at the Horsham Protein Extraction Facility, the successful candidates will be responsible for operating production machinery, maintaining quality assurance and implementing trouble shooting actions where necessary.

Duties will include

• Operate production machinery and manually troubleshoot where necessary
• Bag product for distribution
• Undertake general maintenance and cleaning activities
• Follow and implement processes and procedures to maintain quality assurance
• Promote safe work practices
• Participate in quality and safety meetings
• Other duties as required

Requirements

• MUST be able to commit to rotating shift work (day, afternoon & night)
• Focus on safety and quality management systems and procedures
• Experience with Scada and PLC devices in a manufacturing environment (advantageous)
• Previous experience in a manufacturing/production environment (advantageous)
• Strong analytical, technical and mechanical aptitude
• A forklift licence and experience with chemical handling would be highly regarded but is not essential.
