 Our client is looking for a Principal Engineer- Digital Grid on a permanent basis.You will be responsible for overseeing all technical engineering aspects related to the design, implementation, and operation of digital grid solutions to enhance outage management, optimise network operations, and enable efficient two-way energy flows. This position focuses on providing technical advice and expertise in power engineering to develop innovative technology solutions to address complex challenges in network operations during the energy transition. Key Responsibilities: 

• Manage the technical engineering aspects in the development and implementation of strategic digital grid initiatives and projects to enhance outage management, optimise network operations, and enable efficient two-way energy flows.
• Develop strategies to harness technology to solve complex network operation challenges and optimise business processes through automation.
• Continuously monitor industry trends and technology advancements to identify opportunities for innovation

 Essential Skills and Experience: 

• Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Significant experience in a similar professional role in Energy/Electrical or Utilities Industries.
• Proficient in designing and building ADMS displays.
• Expertise in designing and planning network model build activities.
• Proven business or technical work experience in one or more of the following digital grid focus areas: DMS, EMS, DERMS.
• Experience in transforming data into strategic business projects and insights.
• Significant experience and ability to influence and engage stakeholders to provide innovative strategies and solutions.
• Strong commercial focus, analytical and problem-solving ability and highly collaborative.
