Ausdocs Group is recruiting for a Practice Manager to manage the day-to-day operations of a Bushland Beach Medical Centre in Townsville. As a result of an internal promotion, this position will come with a smooth transition and handover, so you can confidently step in to become the new manager, ensuring the practice continues to run seamlessly.
This role may also suit a current 2IC or Senior Receptionist who is ready to take on more responsibility and grow their career, or an already experienced Practice Manager looking for a new opportunity. Support and training from the outgoing Practice Manager will be provided regardless, to ensure a smooth transition.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and support a team of healthcare professionals and administrative staff.
Manage scheduling, patient flow, and reception operations.
Oversee compliance with healthcare regulations and accreditation standards.
Monitor budgets, billing, and financial reporting.
Drive improvements in efficiency and patient experience.
Implement policies and procedures to maintain a safe and welcoming environment.

About You

Previous experience in practice management or healthcare administration (or readiness to step up from a senior role).
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Knowledge of medical software and other systems (e.g., Best Practice, Cubiko, Tanda).
Understanding of Medicare, private billing, and compliance requirements.
