Every day, we’re in the community helping people do life better… and honestly, it feels pretty epic.
Role and responsibilities
As a Part Time - Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner, you’ll be a supporter, a strategist, a behaviour detective and occasionally the person who teaches everyone to breathe again after a meltdown.
Evaluating, developing & delivering evidence-based support plans
Creating meaningful goals using a positive behaviour support framework
Building capacity in the people who support our participants, families, carers, friends, support workers
Working alongside a brilliant multidisciplinary team
Championing the reduction (and elimination!) of restrictive practices
This is NOT a stepping stone job to becoming a psychologist. It’s a meaningful, legitimate, highly skilled career all on its own.
If you want to be a Psychologist one day? Amazing. But PBS is not the warm-up act. It’s its own headline show.
