Position Title: Motor Mechanic Location: 55 Collins Rd, Melton, VIC 3337 Salary: $76,000 – $80,000 + Superannuation Employer: Excellent Automotive Services Pty Ltd ATF Excellent Services Trust Trading As: Protec Car Care What You'll Be Working On You’ll play a vital role in keeping our customers safe on the road, using your technical know-how and diagnostic smarts to bring vehicles back to peak performance. Your key duties will include: 1. Inspecting, servicing, and repairing petrol and diesel vehicles to manufacturer and industry standards 2. Diagnosing faults using manual and computer-based diagnostic tools 3. Replacing and repairing worn or faulty parts such as brakes, steering components, and suspension systems 4. Performing routine maintenance: oil changes, filter replacements, spark plug checks, fluid top-ups 5. Dismantling engines and mechanical components for inspection and repair 6. Testing and adjusting vehicle systems for smooth operation and optimal performance 7. Ensuring all repairs comply with safety and quality standards 8. Keeping accurate records of work completed and communicating issues with customers or supervisors 9. Collaborating with the workshop team to problem-solve and deliver top-tier service What You Bring to the Garage 1. A Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent qualification 2. One to two years of hands-on experience as a Motor Mechanic 3. Deep understanding of modern vehicle systems, diagnostics, and repair techniques 4. Ability to use scan tools and digital diagnostic equipment 5. Solid mechanical aptitude and a proactive approach to identifying vehicle issues 6. Great communication and teamwork skills 7. A strong work ethic with a commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction 8. A current driver’s licence (manual preferred) Ready to Apply?
