About the Role
The McGrath Cancer Care Nurse (gynaecological, genitourinary (non-prostate) and rare tumours) applies their advanced knowledge of the health needs, preferences, and circumstances of individuals with gynaecological, genitourinary (non-prostate) and rare cancers to optimise the individual's health and well-being at various phases across the continuum of care, including diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, follow-up and palliative care. The McGrath Cancer Care Nurse incorporates advanced knowledge and skills in supportive care, including providing specialised and tailored information and education, psychological support, and clinical care.
The McGrath Cancer Care Nurse facilitates continuity of care between different phases of the cancer journey, care settings, care plans and care providers to ensure optimal care is provided throughout the patients' individual care.
