MC Float Driver/Operator
About the Role
We are recruiting an experienced MC Float Driver/Operator to support several high-profile construction projects across Southwest WA and the North West region. This role is with a leading, confidential client in the construction industry, and their identity will remain undisclosed during the initial stages of recruitment.
Key Responsibilities
- Skillfully drive and manage MC Float machinery to meet precise project specifications and ensure optimal performance in varying site conditions.
- Prepare the MC Float for operation by conducting comprehensive pre-operational checks, calibrating the machine according to detailed technical plans, and verifying that all systems are fully functional before work commences.
- Serve as a key liaison between site supervisors, engineers, and other trades, ensuring that machine operations align with project timelines and that any required adjustments are communicated promptly.
- Execute tasks with high accuracy, consistently monitor work progress against design specifications, and make real-time adjustments to uphold the highest quality standards across diverse terrain.
- Perform daily equipment inspections, complete routine maintenance tasks, and report any irregularities immediately. Strict adherence to health and safety protocols is essential to maintain a safe work environment.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and project documents; accurately document operational data, maintenance logs, and assist in troubleshooting technical issues to ensure seamless operations.
Essential Requirements
- Demonstrable experience operating MC Float machinery or equivalent heavy equipment within a construction environment.
- Possession of a valid heavy machinery license along with any relevant certifications.
- A strong focus on safety and adherence to industry best practices.
- Ability to accurately interpret technical drawings and effectively utilize machine control technology.
- Excellent communication skills with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
