Civil Supervisor

Western Work Force is an Australian owned recruitment company and are a market leader in providing temporary, contract and permanent staffing solutions across various industry sectors.

Our client is a progressive Civil/Construction company with projects running through-out the Pilbara region. Due to continued growth, a new position has arisen for a Civil Supervisor to manage allocated projects from commencement to completion.

This position is offered on a FIFO 2/1 roster with an immediate start available.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for overseeing and managing the site crew and sub-contractors on construction project.
• Completing project proposals, request for quotes, request for tenders, budget estimates and preliminary schedules.
• Prepare prompt quotations including labour, materials, freight and machinery ensuring at all times lead times are considered and clients are communicated with correct timeframes.
• Supervise, prepare and organise building, excavations and general construction activities related to construction projects.
• Work closely with project scheduler to ensure all works and new projects are scheduled and allocated on the company project schedule.
• Management of all site health and safety requirements including JHAs, permits to work, isolations, risk assessments and key safety requirement to ensure the highest quality work and safety is adhered to at all times.
• Carry out regular routine site inspections to identify and rectify risks.
• Identify, report and record and non-conformances, incidences or near misses as required by the quality management system.

Skills and Experience:

• Diploma or above in Project Management or equivalent practical experience.
• Carpentry Trade Certificate.
• Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role within the Civil/Construction sector.
• Proficiency in Microsoft office suite and MS Project.
• Technical knowledge of Construction, Building and Civils processes.
• Analytical skills - ability to process a variety of information, evaluate costs and benefits and solve complex problems.
